Most service schedules have both mileage and time limits; so even if you haven't done 10,000 miles, after one year the service should be done anyway. The same is valid with your belt; they do degrade over time. If your belt has a 60k interval (mine is an earlier 50k) then you should really replace it every six years, regardless of mileage. Probably it will be in quite satisfactory condition anyway, but it's not all that expensive (or even difficult to do yourself) and worth it for peace of mind if nothing else. Cheers, AJ
