Is there a preference to stop this behavior?

Hello, I want to make it so that if I click on an empty area in the piano roll and don't drag out a new note, the playback position won't move to where I clicked. Thank you.

Reason being... I find that this behavior conflicts with "single click inserts/deletes notes". Often times, I will insert a new note and the playback position will change too. To test, set to single click mode, open up piano roll and start adding new notes arbitrarily. playback start position should jump... i understand why it jumps but I would rather it didn't.

Cursor should change its position when doublecliking to insert/delete a note not when in single click mode. At least that's how it behaves here.

Okay, I reread it. I think you stated that the playback cursor does not change position in single click mode. That is wrong. The rules for how single mode works in deciding whether or not to change the playback cursor is outlined in my reply.
