Automation accuracy

Hello everybody, I've a problem with the accuracy of my automation in Reaper 4.01. I've automated the send mute of a track. The source track is a drumsynth track. The destination of the send is a fxbus with readelay. The goal is to "open" the send so just a clap gets through and delays. The problems is that when i mute the send again at the end of an item and before the beginning of the next item, I can still hear a short click/plop of the audio after the mute-automationpoint. Even if i locate the mute-point before the end of an item. Its a bit hard to explain in writing so i attached a jpeg. I've searched the forum and found that sometimes accuracy issues are caused by the difference in midi resolution and automation resulution. But in my case there's no midi involved, just rendered audio. What am i doing wrong? Thanks a lot for your help. FWL

My guess is that the actual muting is causing the click/pop. To avoid that, automate the send volume instead of mute. e

Hi Eric, Thanks for the reply. I thought about that to, but when you move the item after the mute automationpoint, the click is gone. And if i move the mute automation further to the left it's also gone. So that would suggest that it's not just the mute-button switching. I will try your suggestion. But i'm still curious what's causing this behaviour. FWL
