I totally get that you don't want 27 different "bug fix" options. But I think that if a "bug fix" does not have any down side, it should not be an optional "bug fix", but should be on all the time as "host robustness". Some things do have a down side. For example, the bug fix of pre-nulling output buffers will cause a (small) performance degradation. Other "fixes" might turn off useful features. This one, however, seems to have no downside. And since most hosts do not use variable sized buffers, it is understandable that there would be plug-ins out there that expect this. Not that it's a huge deal... just sayin' ;-) Bruce
