FX suitable for tracking.

Please post FX you know you can use for tracking, meaning they don't add any latency to your signal chain. I've had bad surprise before (signer complaining about delay in his headphones when I thought the FX I was using introduced no additional delay), now I want to build myself a library of plugs that I know will work. Everything from guitar cab and FX to compressor, EQ, reverb etc. Thanks.

Honestly, I've only seen a handful of effects that DO add latency. Generally anything involving impulse responses will tend to (though keFIR doesn't, and Boogex seems pretty good). For general effects, I'd recommend the GVST plugins and Kjaerhus' Classic pack.

Yes, anything but convolution will give minimal latency for tracking. Thousands of free and commercial options. A few milliseconds which you can't hear. Then switch to nice convolution reverb for mixing, where latency does not matter. Compression is another matter. Convolution cannot yet do compression. But again, very many free low latency software options. A nice one is digitalfishphones. Cheers, Nev.

I should start using this more. I thought the display was in milliseconds. Could somebody pls explain what 'block values' are? Is that sample block values? If so then how big is a 'block' of samples?
