Transfering mixer settings from one project to another

I have recorded a couple of songs with a band where each song is recorded as a separate project. I have mixed one of the songs and would like to transfer all the mixersettings to another project. The channels are basically the same (maybe one more vocal track on some songs). In Cubase I used to select all the channels in the mixer, choose "Save selected channels", fire up the new project, select all tracks and "Load selected channels". The thing is I haven't found any equivalent function in Reaper. I know I can "Save selected tracks as template" but that is not quite what I'm after, that creates a whole new track when I import in a new project, but what I want is to apply the mixer settings to an existing track.

I asked this exact same question some time ago . Maybe something there...

Ok thanks, I guess that method works pretty well. I would really like a function were you could apply all settings to existing tracks without creating new ones but for the time being this will have to do!
