I would love to see some form of audio ghost copies implemented in Reaper (ie the pasted ghost copy is a reference to the original instance, and any changes made to it, its sibling copies or the original reflect in all). Would make quick work of 'blocking out' arrangements, to be later replaced (or not) by unique instances or performances. Ideally, the display of the ghost parent or children would indicate that they are a ghost or are ghosted, perhaps with an icon overlay or different colored border. Of course, there should be an option to convert ghosted audio to a unique instance. Cheers, sk
Yeah shouldn't bee too hard to implement I guess ... Also for internal MIDI items please!

+1 for ghosting. To make it more universal and useful for arranging, the key modifier for ghost copying items should be able to be used on regions which would copy the region and ghost copy all items within. (On the subject of regions, there is a missing "copy" action (and in right-click menu) which can only be accomplished (as far as I can tell) by Ctrl+dragging. Finally, a modifier for dragging the ends of regions which then reduces the lengths of items in the region would also be great.) You could then rename "regions" as "blocks". :)
+1 again for the Ghosts (aliases created by dragging ctrl+shift). Note the title in Italics: --> Source Item Name, S. Track number, S. measure number [Side note] Btw. take a look at the black title bars on the items, they do not shroud the contents (the bar is added above the contents of the clip, both for midi and audio items), and when the track is minimized, the item title bar turns into item color. And take a look also at the Edit Menu in the screenshot, containing many very interesting selection techniques...
