Free improvisation, anyone? asks new guy.

Hi all. I think I've finally got set up properly, so time to go public. Anyone else interested in free improv/noises/soundscape type stuff (BPM = O!)? NJ's clever latency thing could have been made for this music! Think maybe along the lines of Fred Frith, Keith Rowe, Hugh Davies and so on. I'm looking to use AudioMulch, plus maybe treated guitar etc. I'm pretty sure I've heard some of this kind of thing in previous jams/streams, but I don't want to start hogging server space if there's no interest in this kind of music. Any takers?

Hiya, We have a couple of similar groups you maybe interested in joining. Going East and SkinUp Squirrels (Haha, I didn't make the name. :P) The first Going East is a Journey were all on and from my perspective its more Eastern Influenced. The 2nd is as Russ said when he made the group, whatever is played is played. There are a few more groups on there to choose from and we have 3 Public Servers where the Events, which sometimes become Live Shows, take place.

Yeah NINBOT Experimental is pretty good and in that genre too, 2 of the groups I think were made by the same person, Unfetted, he gets a good vibe going. We follow his directions in which he uses pictures and ideas to stimulate us all into sound and music. We have a Few video's of some of the Going East Shows on and there are some records on Ninjamers and .

I'm definitely into that kind of thing (beatless drones and sound fx etc.) Sometimes I think we should set up one of the farm servers specifically for that sort of thing.

Yeah its pretty cool, I think some of the best records I got from the Auto Records is this type Music/Sound/Expression. If one was setup it would need to be like registrars only or something, else people testing would come in and kill it. You should come sign up over at Brennan and Join the Going East group, come have a Jam with us. Some really great stuff gets achieved there at times. People even will drum on a acoustic guitar and add plenty to the Jam, it's great.
