Bloody stupid car :(

my horn stopped working,, i opend my bonnet and found down near the base fo the radiator the only horn i could see, and a grey and red wire looks like it had wiggled free... i crimped a new connector to the cable and connected it to the horn but the horn still dident work... so, question 1,, Where are the horns :) lol and question 2.. What is the grey and red wire for? btw i tested the wire and its got a 12v feed permenantly (spell check) anyone know :)

ive got two by the front right hand side(looking from the front) i understand one is the horn ones the alarm horn have another look and see if you can see another horn around by the one you connected back as this might be the alarm one and was disconected due to annoying a previous owner hope this helps if not ill get the haynes out again lol

nice one matey :) i'll look in the morning :) any idea what that wire is for? if i had a haynes i'd look but i havent got one and my local libary hasent got one for my car :( if only there was a pdf version of it floating around :) lol btw its running sweet now :) and i wired up the stereo to the clock light,, it works a treat :)

and question 2.. What is the grey and red wire for .................................................. ............just looked in book they go to the horn brown and grey is for the horn switch hope it makes sence to you !!!!!:speechless-smiley-6

brown and grey is for the horn switch ................................... ^^^^^^^ the other one you said originally was the one to the actuall horn

i have no idea what the grey and red wire went to,, i crimped it and connected it to the horn to see if it was for the horn :) but it dident work :) lol then i tested it and its got a steady 12v feed all the time,, so i guess its not for the horn :) lol,, maybe i should have made that a bit clearer :) thanks for your help hoff :)

cool thanks matey :) just got back from the scrap yard and got 2 horns,,, wnet under my car found the horns,, and i have got the wrong bloody horns,,,, they have got diffrent connectors on them,,, i did get the horns of a 850 not a 440 but i thought that they would be the same,,,, great,, i'll just go back the scrapyard again on sunday... my long eventful saga continues :)
