Mpeg Info Program

@Forum, Is there a program for reading info from header of .mpg file, and show all the useful information, like video size, frame, fps, etc. Simply just like GSpot do for .avi files. I know that the GSpot can check the .mpg file but the info is not complete. Any ideas ? Thank you.

Try the general parser utility linked below. It is very powerful. Read the QuickStart.txt I made to get started. This is fully programmable, i.e., you can write your own parsing scripts. Say thank you!

cool tool, can it identify AVI files as well? I'm having trouble working out what codecs etc AVI files are.

It's a "general parser". If you can write the scripts, it can do the job. But the scripts (projects) shipped with it are all MPEG related. There are a number of public domain programs that will analyze your AVI's for you.
