Just spent 20 hrs encoding movie when it gets to the last frame and locks up. this is the second time this has happened. any sugesstions will be appreicated. I don't want to do this again. thanx in advance.. Palone
Now I'm using Tmpeg however the Rempeg has only 1 second before completing and its been 3.5 hrs. I need this m2v file to remux this movie and if I cancel, I'm afraid that it won't encode correctly and maybe I'll have synch problems. any advice?
--------------------- Hello! Nazywam się Tomek. Jestem tutaj kompletnym laikiem, aczkolwiek mam nadzieję od czasu do czasu "brać udział", w działaniu tego portalu.
It happens from time to time on Rempeg It 's not really a problem. I mean it's a bug but it does not affect the m2v file If you look look carefully the counters, the decoding frame counter is one frame ahead of the encoding frame counter and the progressing bar is locked at 99% But don't worry. if you press the cancel button on the main screen, this will abort the encoding basically for the last frame but the m2v file is there, valid and well reencoded. it can be remux with ifodedit or whatever you want to do with it
looks like some1 needs some maths lessons!! if the resulting file is still to big, than you made the wrong calculations. if you used DVD2DVD-R than the program will make the calculations for the required bitrate. it's a great program, expecially when you have a subtitle language "spread" on more than one stream. movies like star war2: atack of the clones.
you can get it at the site is in german, but the program is in english. the proggy is very easy to use. i've sucessfully done 1 movie with it today. you also need CCE 2.50 installed. so if you don't have it... get it but there's a problem to it. it's a demo version and if you use it you'll get a logo on the bottom right corner of the image, which to me is very annoying, but thankfully you can get a crack for it to remove that damn thing. works flawlessly. good luck with the experiments.
