heres how anyone can make himself a virtual vcr out of virtualdub you can set different channels, filters, framesizes, stopconditions and so on for every type of recording you might want to make and the most important thing is that you wont have to trust some other program to tickle over virtualdubs settings but you will record what you want to be done yourself get the free macro utility CTWinCoder from its a progie that can record what you are doing on the comp and play it again and thats called macro install CTWinCoder record a macro - the macro will play faster if you dont move the mouse but use keyboard alt-shortcuts [for the unlightened - in menus when pressing alt you would see some letters underlined if you press that letter after alt you will activate the command associated] copy it from ..\ctwincoder\macros\ to ..\ctwincoder\ run wincoder again...close it [thats for the program to 'find' the copied macro or smth] associate .wcm file extension with c:\ctwincoder\recorder.exe /r make a .bat file containing: start /w recorder.exe /R yourmacro.wcm use task scheduler to run the bat file in the time you need it ps to easily start programs while recording a macro place their shortcuts with short names[!] in the windows folder then while recording - just click with the mouse on start and type r then enter the name of the shortcut and hit enter yeah - its stupid but its the only way - just keep that mouse over start before recording and only click on it when needed without moving it moving the mouse makes the macro run slowly when played
