I have a session with about 8 VSTI's running and I want to kill some of the tracks by creating stems and not needed the VSTI's running. PROBLEM: When I render my True Pianos track, the stem has a different tone... very noticeable. why is this?
Hi Heartfelt, Maybe you can narrow down the problem if you render your track in "1x offline"-mode or in "Online Render"-mode. Perhaps you could give a bit more information. What do you mean by "different tone"? Does it sound different or is the pitch different? -Data
I was looking for how to create a stem in real time but I wasn't able to figure it out. What I mean exactly is... I had a track with True Pianos and an EQ. The chain had been tweaked in the mix and was spot on. I created a stem of the track and it is like the EQ is all out of whack. On the new track, obviously, there are no plugs. The piano and EQ rendered while creating the stem. It is like it is another piano. Weird.
Hey Robert, in case the mono-compatibility thing Oxytoxine mentioned isn't the cause of your problem: I did confuse two things. I looked at "Render" not at "Render stems to...". But you can go to Preferences -> Audio -> Rendering and tick "Limit apply FX/render stems to realtime (good for some plugins)" HTH! -Data
