How to remove A-style carpet?

How can I remove the "carpet" fitted to the A-style (front) at the driver's side. This is the small white/grey carpet that covers the A-style from the inside (left side of the front window). Haynes doesn't tell me...

Morning Dutch, Can you clarify what you mean by "A-style", do you mean A-pillar? i.e. the pillar down the side of the front wondscreen? If yes and its the pillar trim you are referring too, then pull directly away from the line of the pillar toward the center of the car (plan view), its has x2 spring clips holding it on. If you mean the carpet on the floor in the front foot well, you will have to reomve the transmission tunnel side trimx 1 screw, the kick plate x1 clip (plastic trim in the foot well), remove the front seates, x4 bolts on the rails to the floor and wire harness (note isolate the pre tensioners with the clips provided in the seat side trim befroe removing, and disconnect the car batter before disconnecting the wire harness.... you don't want side air bas or pre-tensioners firing).... move the seats to the back of the car rather than remove...remove the kickplate trmis ont he door sill... the carpet is held is with a multitude of clips, make your way around, x 2 on the dash in the foot well....and more along the side sill.... I beleive you will need to remove the center console trim too.......Once al this is out you shoul dbe able to remove the front carpets. Hope this helps....

Do You know if the A-pilar behind the trim panel (next to the front window) is fully metal. Or are there holes in it? I need to reach the outer metal layer of the A-pilar from the inside (for reparing)...

Well there is x2 clip holes, approx 8mm by 12mm, there are also x2 round holes, sealed with a sticker, approx 20mm dia... apart fron that its a flate faced sheet steel... The a piller trims come off real easy so just whip it off and have a look....
