I've got a really great piezo pickup in my acoustic. It's a lakewood acoustic with an aer pickup and I have never been able to get a good recorded sound blended or not. It's good live, but I can't help agreeing about them not being any good for recording anything but guide tracks. But I would certainly go for 2 mics if you have them. one on the body one on the neck. However there's not much point using two mics unless you really want to hear the acoustic. If its going to be a "percussion" acoustic just mic the neck joint and filter all the bass out. One problem you can encounter is if you have a mic and preamp that are great for vocals, they can sometimes make an acoustic sound a bit "banjo'y". If you come accross this try using a mic with a flat response like a c414. You can sometimes cure it with a midrange cut but it's not the same unless the eq is really good. Good luck. Jack
