As for the line 6 compabiliity 

I'm running W7x64 and have been using the line6 GX with podfarm for a couple of hours with no problems yet. Oh and Podfarm is free this month for owners of some line6 gear (ux/gx at least). This is with Reaper 32 mind you. -W

I don't claim anything to the contrary, I have, in fact, more software that runs fine on x64 W7 than those that don't run at all. All I said is to say that everything will run just as it does on XP is bad council. Hell, Microsoft very own Office suit doesn't even run right on x64, confirmed by them; also confirmed that there wouldn't be any patches released, only upgrades for the next version.

on my laptop (core2 duo, 2gb ram, w7x64) reaper x32 uses 25% more cpu than reaper x64. i wish i could install w7x32 on this machine and get a reading, but i dont have the space on the laptop or time to do it. fortunately, im going to be spending my time building a new primary studio machine this week: i7 quad @ 3.06 12gb ram 6tb striped RAID nvidia 295 w/ 1.7tb onboard (for a little gaming in the evening) =D

Any one noticed an increase in DPC Latency spikes with W7x64 ? I have, on my GA-P35-DS3R. I've upgraded from XP32 where I was able to solve the issue with a BIOS downgrade. At the moment occasional spikes are causing glitches. Its possible to increase the spikes by scrolling windows of certain apps. Ive updated all drivers mostly off the W7 install disk, and updated to latest nvidia drivers for video card. Ive upgraded the BIOS. Do I upgrade my mobo? Wait for driver updates? Wait for official release of W7?
