Hi Steve & welcome! The main thing that usually catches people out is that the first click (halfway) on the fan switch is the fast setting, & all the way out is slow. The temperature slider opens & closes the heater valve, but there is also a thermostat on it, controlled by a capilary tube inside the heater box. Quite often, especially when the valve has been replaced, the capilary is left outside the heater box as it's much easier since otherwise the heater box has to be removed otherwise. However bypassing this results in a (pleasantly imho) volcanic heater output :D The other two sliders control output to the screen & floor - not juch more to say really, except that there is a piece of rubber just forward of the gearstick (connects the heater into a duct that carries hot air to the rear passenger footwells) that is often split. Hope this helps! Paul
