How to convert pc drive for Mac use

Hey guys, I have a few maxtor drives I use to use with a PC and I would like to use them on the Mac. The normal Mac utilities are not formating it properly. How can I do a proper format? does FWB toolkit work for that? Thanks

Hey, On os9 you would select the drive in the finder by clicking once and then under the "special" menu, choose "erase disc". This is the best way to do put the apple driver on a firewire drive. In os x, you should use the apple disc utility and initialize with that. Hope that helps.
