UnFilter + dvd2svcd = increase of spead... , just test it . here is an example

before using sharpen-filters, you should aware of what causes the unsharpness. first, there is surely the reduce resolution from 720 to 480, but thats not really 'unsharp', imho. second, the resizer used. the output of bicubic differs from i.e. bilinear, because it is more smooth but less sharp as well. third, the resizing of the player and the tv-set. when the player has a poor resizer and the components arent that good in resizing and signal quality, the sharpness suffers. 4th, the bitrate. cce produces sharper images at a higher bitrate. nevertheless it depends on the matrix used. i think, that it would be a nice idea to compare a sharpened movie and a noisereduced one...

This is my first message, just like to say thanks to the writers of the software, I have found it very useful indeed. I tested the unfilter plugin on several movies and found the outcomes very surprising, I've been editing the avisynth options and putting the unfilter (UnFilter(20,20) after the temporal smoothing (1,1) with very sharp results, give it a try.
