ive rendered a song as a .wav to my computer. it plays through windows media player fine, but when i burn it to disk it wont play in a cd player. do i have to render it as an mp3 to get the disk to play?
Wait.. you burned the wavs directly onto the disk, in other words you created a data CD with wav files instead of an audio CD? Not all CD players can play wav files directly.
No I don't think so. Selecting this output format creates cue/bin image files ready to burn an audio CD with your burning software, if you check the other marked checkbox in the render dialog, you can also burn it directly from there.
ive done it this way also, but when i find the file on my pc, it calls itself a VLC media file(.cue) and (.bin). ive put them both on disk as well and nothing
Sorry, no idea what's going wrong there (I never burn audio CDs that way). The cue/bin files are not supposed to be found on the CD, they are a disk image of the to-be-burned audio CD. However, you can import them in many disk burning programs and burn an audio CD from that disk image.
