There's nothing to deinterlace with 288 lines, so a good deinterlacer has nothing to do (no jagged edges, so the threshold for deinterlacing is never reached). Try it with full resolution, I don't think it works. P.S.: I tried to do it with my WinTV card, but the problem is that any filter I choose only reports 320x240 resolution as input and doesn't do anything at all. That is probably due to the Win2k wdm drivers which don't support higher resolutions natively (I can only use full resolution through VDub's tweaking options).
