Why burn from an Image ??

i got a wierd problem, when i use imgtools to make an img, i can't play the img in powerdvd i'll explain, the whole VIDEO_TS file on my hd seems ok, plays fine in ifoedit and in powerdvd, but as soon as i make the img, and mount it with deamon tools to test, the ifo's are all corrupt, i can't open any ifo in ifoedit, and when i open the ifo in hex mode, i see that the headers are all messed up, so no dvd player (powerdvd, windvd, ifoedit) will play the mounted dvd-r... what's going on? i tried copying the VIDEO_TS folder to different hard disks to remake the img, but always same problem.
